Outreach Aid to the Americas

Outreach Aid to the Americas (OAA) is a humanitarian nonprofit working on relief, human rights and development across the Americas. Its main site and four related sites all need the same unglamorous things: current software, working pages, and someone who can change the homepage quickly when a disaster hits.

Parameter has hosted and maintained OAA’s sites since late 2023, handling updates, monitoring, fixes and time-sensitive changes on request, from hurricane relief homepage updates to publishing an op-ed. OAA staff publish their own news and updates, and bring structural changes to us.

More recently, we rebuilt the oaausa.org header and footer in a child theme, without replacing the rest of the site’s design. The header now puts the logo, social links and a Donate button in one row, with the full navigation in a second row that stays pinned while visitors scroll. On phones, a new slide-out menu groups each section’s pages and includes its own Donate button. The footer now carries contact details, a newsletter signup and a dedicated donation card.

The same hosting and maintenance cover four related OAA sites, including First Frontier Cuba Network. Two other OAA-connected projects have their own entries: the Port Resiliency site for the airport and seaport preparedness program run by OAA’s Americas Relief Team, and the CIFAL Miami site.
