Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 04/27/2026

Parameter LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website https://parameterllc.com (the “Site”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

Information Collection and Use

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, and phone number (“Personal Information”).

Log Data

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amounts of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

Like many sites, we use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Public Site Scanner (/risk)

We operate a free public WordPress scanner at parameterllc.com/risk. The scanner inspects only publicly available information about a target site — it does not log into, exploit, or modify that site, and does not require administrator access. It is a non-invasive, public-signal assessment, not a penetration test.

When you run a scan, we record an anonymous row in our internal analytics: a SHA-256 hash of the scanned URL, a SHA-256 hash of your IP address, the resulting 0–100 score, the letter grade, and the per-category sub-scores. We use these hashes for trend reporting, abuse prevention, and rate-limiting. We do not store the scanned URL or your IP address in plaintext, and scans are not associated with any account, contact information, or other personal identifier.

We retain scan analytics for up to 24 months. The scan result itself (the report you see and the PDF you download) is cached for up to 24 hours so that re-scanning the same URL returns instantly; the cache is keyed by a hash of the URL, not the URL itself.

The scanner identifies itself to target sites with the user agent Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; ParameterRiskScore/1.0; +https://parameterllc.com/risk) so site owners can see who is scanning them. We respect robots.txt: if a site’s robots file disallows root-level scanning, we abort.

If you would like a scan record removed, contact us at hello@parameterllc.com with the date and approximate time of the scan. Because we don’t store the URL or IP in plaintext we cannot search by them — but if the analytics row is identifiable through other means we will delete it.
