CIFAL Miami

CIFAL Miami is part of UNITAR’s global network of 33 International Training Centers for Authorities and Leaders, established in 2024 through a partnership between UNITAR, Outreach Aid to the Americas, and Florida International University. When the project started, the center existed in boardrooms and partnership agreements but had no digital presence. For an institution whose audience includes government officials, NGO leaders, and international organization stakeholders, that gap had an expiration date.

We built the site on WordPress with Elementor Pro and the UiCore Pro theme framework. The design needed to project institutional authority without feeling bureaucratic — clean, restrained, and immediately credible. The four thematic cornerstones (Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Resilience, Sustainable Development, Social Empowerment) serve as navigational anchors, and the flagship C-PReP program (Community Port Resiliency) has its own dedicated section.

Event registration with capacity management, contact forms with professional sector segmentation (government, NGO, private sector, academic, media), ADA accessibility via UserWay, and GDPR consent handling were all built in from day one — not retrofitted. The site launched in six weeks to coincide with CIFAL Miami’s institutional announcement, and we provide ongoing WordPress Ops through Protect.
