CIFAL Miami

CIFAL Miami is the International Training Center for Authorities and Leaders in Miami, part of UNITAR’s CIFAL Global Network. It is hosted by Outreach Aid to the Americas (OAA) in partnership with Florida International University (FIU) and works with government, private-sector and civil-society leaders across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. In April 2025 it had no website at all, and it wanted one online before May 12.

This was a new build, not a redesign. The formal request arrived on April 28, 2025, with a content document, logos, brand colors and typography, plus a suggestion, given the timeline, to follow the layout of the Port Resiliency site, which our team redesigned in early 2023 under our predecessor name, Inreact. We built it on WordPress with Elementor Pro and the UiCore Pro theme, organized around the center’s four thematic areas, and sent a staging preview on May 6. After a leadership review of fonts, colors and galleries, it went live on May 8, ten days after the request.

Launch was the start, not the finish. Media galleries built from the center’s event photos followed in May, and an events section with a full workshop page in June. We host and maintain the site and handle larger changes, and staff have made urgent event updates themselves.
