Odoo Partner Food, Beverage & Hospitality

Odoo for food and hospitality businesses, from receiving to the plate.

Food businesses run on thin margins and short shelf lives. Both are managed by counting, and counting is the first thing skipped on a busy day.

We set up Odoo for food and beverage producers, restaurants, caterers, and tourism operators. Stock, recipes, purchasing, and sales share one record, and the limits are stated before you commit.

  • Written scope before work starts
  • Built on staging
  • Supported after launch
Where the time goes

Where a food business loses margin.

Stock that expires on the shelf

Product is received, shelved, and forgotten. The first sign is a write-off.

Recipes that are not costed

Ingredient prices move every week. Menu and wholesale prices move once a year, if someone remembers.

Purchasing from memory

The chef or the production lead orders what feels low. Some weeks that is too much, some weeks it is a missing ingredient.

Sales in one system, stock in another

The register knows what sold. The storeroom does not hear about it until the count.

What we set up and run

Odoo for food and hospitality businesses: what it covers.

Inventory

Lots, expiry dates, and locations

Stock is received by lot with an expiry date, and the oldest is picked first. Removal alerts flag what is about to expire.

Production

Recipes as bills of materials

A recipe is a bill of materials with yields. Making a batch consumes ingredients and creates finished stock with its own lot.

Sales

Point of sale and wholesale

Point of sale covers counters and restaurants, with tables, kitchen printing, and split bills. Wholesale orders, price lists, and deliveries run from the same stock.

Purchasing

Reorder rules and supplier prices

Reorder points, supplier price lists, and purchase orders built from what the system says is low.

Configuration, or a project of its own?
Need Usually configuration Needs its own scope
Traceability Lot tracking from receipt through production to delivery. Recall procedures, labels, and documents a buyer or inspector requires.
Recipe costing Cost rolled up from current ingredient prices. Variable yields, by-products, and catch weight.
Point of sale Counter and restaurant sales, with stock updated. Delivery apps, loyalty platforms, and payment terminals outside the supported list.
Lodging and bookings Appointments and simple activity bookings. Room inventory, channel managers, and rate plans. That is a property management system.

This is a guide, not a price list or a promise. What applies to you depends on your Odoo plan, your current software, and your rules, and it is settled in a written scope before work starts. See Odoo implementation and Odoo integrations.

Before you replace anything

Keep what the kitchen already trusts.

A restaurant point of sale that staff know and that connects to your delivery apps may be worth keeping. So is a hotel property management system, every time. Odoo is strongest behind the counter: stock, recipes, purchasing, production, and wholesale. We connect the front to it when the front already works.

Connecting systems that are not Odoo is covered under API and systems integration, and software built for your own rules under custom software.

Illustrative example, not a client result

One batch, from receiving to a wholesale delivery.

This is how the work can move once the steps share one record. Your version will differ, and which steps are configuration or integration depends on your setup.

  1. Ingredients arrive

The receipt records the lot and the expiry date from the supplier. The purchase order and the bill match it.

  2. A batch is made

Production consumes ingredient lots, oldest first, and creates a finished lot. The cost of the batch is known that day.

  3. The order is picked

A wholesale order reserves the finished lot. The delivery slip and the invoice come from the same record.

  4. A question is asked

A customer reports a problem with a product. The lot shows which ingredients went in and who else received it.

How we work

Six phases, one accountable team.

  1. Understand the workflows

We follow real work through your operation: where it starts, who touches it, where it waits, and where it gets retyped. You get a written scope that says what we found and what we recommend.

  2. Configure and integrate

Configuration first, integration second, custom work last and only where the first two fall short. Everything is built on staging, not on your live system.

  3. Validate the data

Your records are cleaned and loaded on a test copy, then checked by the people who know them. Bad data is the most common reason a launch disappoints.

  4. Train the team

Each team learns its own part on its own real cases. Short written guides stay behind.

  5. Launch

A planned cutover with a checklist, a way back, and us on hand while the first real work goes through.

  6. Support

After launch the system has an owner. Odoo Support runs month to month, and Odoo Operations is a committed engagement for teams that want us to own the platform.

Pricing
Written scope, then a quote

Every project is scoped and quoted for approval before work starts. There is no price list, because the workflows, the data, and the integrations drive the number.

After launch
The system has an owner

Odoo Support month to month, or Odoo Operations as a committed engagement.

FAQ

Questions we hear from food and hospitality businesses.

Does Odoo handle expiry dates and lot recalls?

Lots, expiry dates, first-expired-first-out picking, and a trace from ingredient lot to customer are standard. The recall procedure itself is yours. Odoo gives you the list, quickly.

Can Odoo run a restaurant?

Its point of sale has a restaurant mode with tables, kitchen printing, and split bills, and it updates stock. Whether it should replace the register you have depends on your delivery apps and payment setup. We check those first.

Can Odoo manage hotel rooms?

Not as standard. Room inventory, rates, and channel managers belong in a property management system. Odoo can handle the hotel's purchasing, stock, and accounting beside it.

What does Odoo cost for food and hospitality businesses, and how long does it take?

Both depend on the workflows, the state of the data, and the number of integrations, so we do not publish a price list or a standard timeline. You get a written scope with a quote and dates, and nothing starts until you approve it.

What happens after launch?

The system keeps an owner. Odoo Support runs month to month for fixes, changes, and questions. Odoo Operations is a committed engagement for teams that want us to own the platform, including upgrades.
