Odoo Partner IT, Communication & Marketing

Odoo for IT and marketing firms, with fewer tools.

Technology and marketing firms collect software. A CRM, a ticket desk, a time tracker, a billing tool, and a spreadsheet to reconcile them.

We set up Odoo for IT providers, telecom resellers, and agencies that want the pipeline, the contract, the ticket, and the invoice in one database. Remote monitoring and ad platforms stay where they are.

  • Written scope before work starts
  • Built on staging
  • Supported after launch
Where the time goes

Where a tech or agency business loses revenue.

Recurring revenue billed by hand

Monthly contracts, licenses, and add-ons are invoiced from a list. Changes made mid-month are the ones that get missed.

Tickets with no link to the contract

Support work is done without knowing whether it is covered. Billable work is given away, or covered work is disputed.

Time in a tracker, invoices somewhere else

Hours are exported, cleaned, and imported every month. The export is the least favorite job in the company.

Five subscriptions doing one job

Each tool was a reasonable purchase. Together they cost a salary and agree on nothing.

What we set up and run

Odoo for IT and marketing firms: what it covers.

Sales

Pipeline, quotes, and signature

Opportunities, quotes with optional items, and online signature. A signed quote starts the contract or the project.

Recurring billing

Subscriptions with changes mid-term

Recurring plans, upgrades, add-ons, and renewals are invoiced on schedule. Changes are prorated by rule.

Support

Helpdesk with service levels

Tickets by email or portal, with service level targets, teams, and time recorded on the ticket.

Delivery

Projects and timesheets

Client work runs as projects with tasks and hours. Time bills as hourly, fixed fee, or against a block of prepaid hours.

Configuration, or a project of its own?
Need Usually configuration Needs its own scope
Recurring billing Plans, renewals, add-ons, and online payment. Usage-based billing from an outside system, and vendor license reconciliation.
Helpdesk Tickets, service levels, and a client portal. Connections to remote monitoring tools, with alerts becoming tickets.
Agency work Projects, retainers, timesheets, and approvals. Media spend reconciliation and ad platform connections.
Reselling Products, purchase orders, and margins by deal. Distributor price feeds and automated provisioning.

This is a guide, not a price list or a promise. What applies to you depends on your Odoo plan, your current software, and your rules, and it is settled in a written scope before work starts. See Odoo implementation and Odoo integrations.

Before you replace anything

Keep the monitoring stack and the ad platforms.

Remote monitoring tools and ad platforms are the workshop, and Odoo is not trying to be either. If a professional services tool built for managed service providers already runs your tickets and billing well, moving is a judgment call, and we will say when it is not worth it. Odoo wins when the count of separate tools is the problem.

Connecting systems that are not Odoo is covered under API and systems integration, and software built for your own rules under custom software.

Illustrative example, not a client result

One client, from quote to recurring invoice.

This is how the work can move once the steps share one record. Your version will differ, and which steps are configuration or integration depends on your setup.

  1. The quote is signed

A quote with a setup project and a monthly plan is signed online.

  2. Onboarding runs as a project

Setup tasks are assigned and tracked. Time recorded on them bills as agreed.

  3. Support begins

Tickets arrive by email and are tied to the client's contract, so coverage is visible on the ticket.

  4. The invoice runs itself

The monthly invoice includes the plan, any add-ons, and any billable hours. It is sent and collected without a spreadsheet.

How we work

Six phases, one accountable team.

  1. Understand the workflows

We follow real work through your operation: where it starts, who touches it, where it waits, and where it gets retyped. You get a written scope that says what we found and what we recommend.

  2. Configure and integrate

Configuration first, integration second, custom work last and only where the first two fall short. Everything is built on staging, not on your live system.

  3. Validate the data

Your records are cleaned and loaded on a test copy, then checked by the people who know them. Bad data is the most common reason a launch disappoints.

  4. Train the team

Each team learns its own part on its own real cases. Short written guides stay behind.

  5. Launch

A planned cutover with a checklist, a way back, and us on hand while the first real work goes through.

  6. Support

After launch the system has an owner. Odoo Support runs month to month, and Odoo Operations is a committed engagement for teams that want us to own the platform.

Pricing
Written scope, then a quote

Every project is scoped and quoted for approval before work starts. There is no price list, because the workflows, the data, and the integrations drive the number.

After launch
The system has an owner

Odoo Support month to month, or Odoo Operations as a committed engagement.

FAQ

Questions we hear from IT and marketing firms.

Can Odoo replace the service tool our managed services team uses?

For ticketing, contracts, time, and billing, often yes. It does not monitor devices, so that tool stays. Whether to move depends on how deeply your current tools are tied together, and we look at that before recommending anything.

Can Odoo bill usage, such as minutes or data?

Odoo bills recurring plans and one-off quantities as standard. Usage that is measured in another system has to be brought in, which is integration work scoped against that system.

Can clients raise tickets and see invoices in one place?

Yes. The customer portal shows tickets, projects, subscriptions, and invoices to the contacts you allow.

What does Odoo cost for IT and marketing firms, and how long does it take?

Both depend on the workflows, the state of the data, and the number of integrations, so we do not publish a price list or a standard timeline. You get a written scope with a quote and dates, and nothing starts until you approve it.

What happens after launch?

The system keeps an owner. Odoo Support runs month to month for fixes, changes, and questions. Odoo Operations is a committed engagement for teams that want us to own the platform, including upgrades.
