What does an Odoo consultant do?
An Odoo consultant, sometimes called an Odoo ERP consultant, works out how your business maps onto Odoo before anything is configured or built: which apps, which plan and hosting, what to customize, and what to leave standard. A good one also tells you when Odoo is the wrong tool. At Parameter you talk to a senior engineer, not a salesperson.
What is the difference between an Odoo functional consultant and a developer?
An Odoo functional consultant maps your processes onto the apps and configures them. A developer writes code where configuration runs out. On a small project one senior person can do both, which is how we work. Ask any firm who will do each job before you sign.
Is the first conversation free?
Yes. The Odoo Assessment is free: a first conversation by call, email, or in person, a written Preliminary Scope within 5 business days of that conversation, and a meeting to walk through it. Work beyond the Assessment is quoted before it starts.
Will you tell us if Odoo is the wrong choice?
Yes. Sometimes the right answer is to stay on what you have, fix the process first, or pick a different system. The free Assessment exists so both sides find that out before anyone signs anything.
Can you review a proposal from another Odoo partner?
Yes. Send us the scope and the quote. We tell you what is missing, what is vague, which items are custom code you will pay to carry through every upgrade, and what to ask before you sign.
Do you work on systems you didn't build?
Yes. Takeovers and stalled rollouts are a common starting point. We begin with a read-only review of the system as it is, then put what to finish, what to fix, and what to drop in writing.
